Amberley Steam Show July 2023
Another steam show video, which is rather strange as a few short years ago, I’d have said steam locomotives – road or rail – held little interest for me. Now, though, I’ve become a bit of a fan. I know little about them, but am learning. Slowly.
There were three or four new engines at the show, most particularly the world’s smallest, full-size steam roller. It was quite delightful, as was the helpful and informative owner. The creator built it to roll his own drive. I have no details of the size and length of the drive, but can probably guess. One of the highlights of the show for me.
Also, there was a Stanley steamer. The owner, Martin, allowed me to ride in it. It was great fun, more so than the C63 I drove at Mercedes-Benz World. Honest.
My first try at a voice-over. If it is too horrible for you, please let me know in the comments below.
A father and son asked me to take photos of them. I can’t find their contact details. If it is you, please contact me via the contacts page.
