Book cover Cartoon image of scard man during radio-therapy

Cancer, Me and my Prostate is a book on what happened to me when I got prostate cancer. It runs from the first inclination something was ‘wrong’ down there to the time my oncologist phoned to give me the result of my radiotherapy. It sounds a depressing book, but, believe it or not, well, believe it as it’s true, it’s a bit of a laugh from the start.

The procedures, some of which were surreal, and those that weren’t were weird, are detailed, as are all the indignities. I have not specified the names of those who invaded my rectum, firstly because they were trying to help and, secondly, because I didn’t ask their names in case they thought I was coming onto them.

The book contains just one bit of advice. It is easy enough to conform to and, here’s the biggy, it might save your life. What’s not to like? So why is the advice needed? Because people can’t be bothered.

After reading this book, you might decide it is worth the bother and you might wonder why you hadn’t done so before. If only one person follows the advice, it will have been worth writing this. However, I expect anyone who reads the book will realise there’s nothing to fear, except inertia.

Cancer, Me and my Prostate might be a revelation. It might also be reassuring. Whatever, it’s cheap enough.
