Those of us at Writewheel Publishing (Writewheel) are very conscious of the concerns many people have with the security of their personal data and the purposes for which it is used. We not only conform to the law and the Information Commissioner’s guidelines (see www.ico.gov.uk) but go beyond in order to reassure those who have entrusted us with their details.

We retain the bare minimum of information on all those who have bought any titles. The most information we would keep would be:

Your email address will be stored with BT Internet. Any other information will be stored behind a firewall. Your data is as secure as we can make it. The data is not released to any third party. We do not use cloud storage for personal data.

We provide links to other sites and to advertisers and partners of Writewheel. However, these are not governed by this privacy policy and it is advisable to check theirs. We do not release any personal data to these companies.

Your rights under the Data Protection Act

Those people whose personal details are retained on a database have the right to ascertain the nature of the information held and to correct anything which is incorrect. The application must be in writing to the Data Controller, details above.

The Data Protection Act allows a fee to be charged for the procedure, which was £10 at the time of writing.

Further anyone whose contact details are retained for the purposes of direct marketing has the right to have them removed from such a list. This may be done by reply to any email with the Subject Line of Unsubscribe or by sending an email to the Data Manager via the contact form on the Contact page with the same Subject Line. We accept no responsibility for keeping the information up to date, nor liability for any failure to do so. No liability is accepted for any errors, or for any losses that may be incurred if content is relied on.

The content is intended for general reference only. Its application to any specific instance or for any particular purpose is a user’s sole responsibility.

Except as stated below, the contents of any product may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means without our prior express written permission.

4. External links

Any links to other websites provided on Writewheel and are made in good faith. However, Writewheel cannot be held responsible for any information on such sites.

You must remove any link to this site when requested to do so. You must not create any link to this site which could give rise to confusion as to its identify. You must not suggest in any way that Writewheel endorses any site or anything else without prior permission.

5. Liability

We disclaim all representations and warranties with respect to any product and content to the full extent of the law. In the event that any exclusion or other provision contained in these Terms be held to be invalid for any reason and we become liable for loss or damage that could otherwise have been limited, such liability shall be limited to £100.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury to the extent only that the same arises as a result of negligence for which we are liable.

By viewing Writewheel.uk or buying any product from Writewheel you agree to be bound by these terms. These terms supersede all prior agreements and (together with the Privacy Policy) are complete and exclusive. No oral or written information given by us or on our behalf shall create a warranty or collateral contract, or in any way increase the scope of our liability, and you may not rely on any such information. Except as otherwise provided, no addition, amendment or modification of these Terms shall be effective, unless in writing and signed or accepted by us.

This Site is aimed at users in the United Kingdom. Where UK regulatory authorities have jurisdiction over the contents of this Site, we have attempted to ensure compliance with the requirements of such regulatory body. However, some of the information in the pages contained in this Site is not intended for access from certain other jurisdictions, and no representation or warranty is made as to whether the information available in this Site complies with the regulatory regime of jurisdictions other than the United Kingdom.
